Weeding hack with Lint Roller. How to easily weed a distressed cut file or font cut out with heat transfer vinyl.
I created a really distressed cut file and I let it sit in my craft room forever because to weed it seemed daunting. Luckily-I spend way to much time on tik tok and have seen people use a lint roller to weed really intricate designs. So I decided to give it a go!
And boy- let me tell you. It was aces!
The Lint Roller I used is this pet extra sticky one .
First: The lint roller is very sticky- so I would not recommend using this with adhesive vinyl! If you are looking for an easy weeding hack for adhesive- stay tuned!
The goal is to roll the the lint roller across the design. It picks up all the little pieces. I did have to roll over a few times at different angles to peel them all up! You can also just take off a piece off the lint roller and press it against the heat transfer vinyl if you don’t want to roll.
After the pieces are all ready and done weeding, I just pressed them on my sweatshirt.
I’m loving the distressed look! I love the fact that It didn’t take me 30 minutest to weed!
This Smiley Face Cut file is available right here!
