What are House Shoes?

House shoes are a low shoe that can be slipped on and off easily. They are typically only worn indoors. They are not always worn for warmth, but to keep carpets and rugs clean while adding comfort to your feet.

What are Slippers?

Slippers are typically worn to keep feet and toes warm during chilly weather. It’s an indoor shoe that slips easily on and off your foot, hence the name slipper. Slippers are typically made of big cozy fabrics, fluffy and soft.

Are sheepskin slippers worth it?

There are many benefits to sheepskin slippers that make them a good investment for many people, however it really is a personal preference.

Benefits of sheepskin slippers

  • Warm and cozy:  Sheepskin is a natural insulator, so it keeps your feet warm and cozy in the winter.
  • Breathable:  Sheepskin is also breathable, so they don’t make your feet sweat.

What slippers don’t smell?

Slippers that are made from breathable and moisture-wicking materials are less likely to smell. Some good options include wool, linen, cotton and bamboo materials.

The style of the slippers can also play a role in how smelly they become. Slippers with open toes and backs allow for more airflow, which helps to keep your feet cool and dry. This can help to reduce odor.

Here are some additional tips to help keep your slippers from smelling:

  • Wear socks with your slippers to absorb moisture and sweat.
  • Take your slippers off when you come inside to air them out.
  • Sprinkle your slippers with baking soda or cornstarch to help absorb odor.
  • Put your slippers in the freezer overnight to kill bacteria.

If your slippers do start to smell, you can try washing them in a mild detergent. However, be sure to follow the care instructions carefully, as some materials, such as wool, can be damaged by machine washing.

And don’t forget… slippers make awesome gifts, too! Pin this great roundup for later.
