DIY Retro Ornaments

Designing these 3D Christmas ornaments definitely brought on a lot of nostalgia. I can remember clearly those colorful, intricately-shaped and delicate glass ornaments from my childhood. Looking back, I admire them even more now for their beauty, each ornament so unique and pretty.

To make our version of these pretty ornaments, we used a mix of felt sheets in coordinating soft colors from BenzieDesigns. Choosing the colors was half the fun in making them! Also, you can cut out the felt pieces either by hand or by using your cutting machine since the pattern is available as a PDF and an SVG.

Cutting

The ornament pattern downloads as a printable PDF file for cutting out the pieces using a pair of scissors as well as an SVG file to use with a cutting machine if that option is preferred.

Assembling the 3D Ornaments

Follow the step by step instructions in the pattern file to assemble each of the felt ornaments.
