Womens Easy Snowflake Hat Knitting Pattern- a Nordic-inspired hat with a festive snowflake motif.

Womens Easy Snowflake Hat Knitting Pattern

After making this snowflake hat for my oldest son I decided I wanted to knit a version for myself. This is a similar version to the kid’s except this snowflake is larger and slightly more intricate.

This hat features a wide brim and a round of snowflakes. The snowflakes are created using a technique called colorwork (or stranded) knitting. Stranded knitting involves using two colors of yarn to create a pattern. The yarn that isn’t being used is carried across the back of the work. It may seem awkward at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really fun!
