Hello, June!

It’s a new month and I hope you’re feeling ready to reset. I love hearing each new month how you are really getting to see the power of Map My Month in action!

If you’re new to Map My Month, read on! And if you’ve been doing the guided worksheets every month, I hope you’re loving them!

Psst — if you love this idea be sure to check these out too:

Why Monthly Journaling?

Every January, we are so energized with the idea of a fresh start, a new year, and endless possibilities.

Which I love!

I’ve never been big on that whole “new year, new you” thing. The you that you are is exactly enough and you don’t need anything new to be worthy.

What a new year does, though, is to provide the mindset of a fresh start. It feels so good to get into the mindset of possibility, presence, and intention.

It also provides a beautiful opportunity to dream. To look inward and discover the things that you really want, and what types of goals you hold in your heart.

So instead of just getting into that mindset at the start of the year and then seeing it gradually fade after a few weeks, these Map My Month journaling pages are like a monthly fresh outlook.

I love the idea of giving yourself an opportunity to reset.

It’s a great space to create for yourself monthly to look ahead with fresh eyes and set new intentions.

Each month, on the 1st, I create and share a free downloadable guided worksheet. (You can download it at the end of the post.)

The monthly prompts will be the same, but we’ll focus on a different prompt each month and really dive deep on one of them. It’s a way to look at each question in a new way, and perhaps discover something you didn’t realize about yourself.

I’m so excited to see how our responses shift and change over the course of the year.

June’s Focus: What Would It Feel Like to Create Space?

In May’s Map My Month, we focused on letting go. We searched for something in our lives that was no longer serving us, and considered loosening our grip on that thing.

This month, we focus on the feeling that would come with letting go, and how it might create space in our lives.

As you work on your Map My Month worksheet this month, give a little extra thought to the portion that asks: How would it feel to let that thing go?

As you consider it, try to imagine something that you’re considering letting go, and what space might be created in your life by releasing whatever it is.

That could look like lots of different things! Maybe it would create some extra time for you. Perhaps it would give you mental space to put toward other things that matter more in this season. Or it might just mean that you can finally stop beating yourself up about something.

Remember, the work on these journaling sheets isn’t the actual doing. It’s not like you’re checking off a box of letting something go. It’s more that the act of envisioning your life in this way can be the first step on the way to something good for you down the line.

Here’s what to do next. Find a quiet space for yourself, and get into a mindset of openness and possibility. Go through the rest of the prompts on the worksheet, using as much time as you need.

If you plan on participating in Map My Month each month, I suggest you get a binder or a folder to keep all of your worksheets in one place. You can look back at your progress and reference past months’ Maps to see how your year is progressing.

You could even add it to your Intention Blueprints binder if you did those last year!

Share Your Thoughts

Have you been following along with the Map My Month series? I’d love to know your thoughts whether this is your first month or if you’ve been doing it all along.

Exercises like this can encourage us to think in new patterns or explore new ideas. It’s a simple way to bring some intention into your months and to really feel like you’re present in your own life, which is a good feeling.

Enjoy! xoxo
