HOW TO MAKE CRICUT INFUSIBLE INK T-SHIRTS

Make this cute inspirational T-shirt for the new year using Cricut Infusible Ink! With Infusible Ink transfer sheets you can make tees just like you would buy in the store. Unlike iron-on, the ink goes into the material and becomes one! I created this vibrant professional-looking shirt with supplies from my local JOANN store.

This is a sponsored post brought to you by JOANN. All opinions are my own.

Last month I made some awesome Infusible Ink coasters for a Christmas gift. (You can see that post HERE.) I wanted to make a cute new shirt to celebrate the new year this month.

Cricut actually has two types of Infusible Ink options available. They have Infusible Ink transfer sheets which I used for this tee, or they have Infusible Ink pens. The cool thing about the pens is that you can draw your own design and then transfer it to a shirt! How fun it that? I love all the fun patterns in the Infusible Ink transfer sheets. Seriously you need to check out all the fun products available at your JOANN store or online.  When I saw this galaxy pattern I just had to use it for a shirt!

Cricut Design Space has tons of fun t-shirt designs that are all ready for you to make. You can find some of them by using the image search bar in Design Space and searching “t-shirt”. One of the designs that came up had the saying “Dream, Believe, Achieve” and I just loved it. It made me think of some dreams I have and want to achieve this coming year. I wanted to make my own design with the words and so I found this fun shape and just sliced out the words from it.

That’s one of the many awesome things about Cricut Design Space. You have designs that are ready to go, or you can always modify images and make them your very own!

Click on Make it and make sure to mirror your image!  Select Infusible Ink Transfer sheet as your material. Make sure your fine tip blade is loaded in the machine.

Cut out your design. Now it’s time to weed your design. Make sure you have dry, clean hands so you don’t rub the ink off the transfer sheets. You also  want to make sure you are extra careful weeding out the pieces so you don’t scratch or remove parts of your design.

The next step is to prepare your Infusible Ink t-shirt for transfer. Insert your EasyPress mat inside the t-shirt. Place a piece of cardstock on top of the mat to protect it from any bleed through.

Carefully lint roll your t-shirt where your Infusible Ink design will be applied. This will help avoid any spots/blemishes in the final design.
