How to Play Easter Egg Roll

Easter Egg Roll Game 1 – Matching Easter Egg Roll Game

  • Pass out game sheets to each player. Determine which player will play first. We always start with the youngest player.
  • Players rolls one dice and match the number on the dice to the color on the game sheet. Place a game piece on one Easter egg that matches that color. For example, if the player rolls a 2, player will place a game piece on one yellow Easter egg. If a player rolls a number and they have no Easter eggs left to cover, pass the dice to the next player.
  • Continue playing until someone covers all the Easter eggs on their game sheet. The first player to cover all the Easter eggs on their game sheet wins the game.

Easter Egg Roll Game 2 – Addition Matching Easter Egg Roll Game

  • Pass out game sheets to each player. Determine which player will play first. We always start with the youngest player.
  • Players record numbers 2-12 inside each Easter Egg. Players can choose any number between 2-12.
  • Players roll two dice and add the dots on the dice together. If they have that number recorded on their game sheet, they cover that Easter egg with a game piece. Continue playing until someone covers all the Easter eggs on their game sheet.
  • The first player to cover all the Easter eggs on their game sheet wins the game.

I’ve included two versions of this game. One is in color and one is black and white. I wanted to make this game easy for teachers to use in their classroom and I know most teachers only have access to black and white printers. This game can easily be printed on pastel paper and used in the classroom over and over again.

How to Print These Free Easter Games

To print these Easter games, you’ll need a printer and white paper. I recommend printing these games on heavy cardstock.  This will make it easier to play the game and help the game last longer.

Another option is to laminate the games and use dry erase markers so you can reuse the game cards. This will also help them last longer. You can use a laminating machine or use clear adhesive shelf liner to protect the printables.

We can’t play these games without game pieces to cover the eggs. Here are some fun and simple game piece ideas.
