Creating faux floral centerpieces with floral supplies from JOANN is one of my favorite crafts. Of course I’d love to have fresh floral arrangements around my house all the time, but they don’t last long and can be more expensive!

JOANN has an awesome selection of all kinds of floral supplies and I have created quite a few centerpieces for each of the different seasons. I love starting off the season by updating my centerpiece!

I fell in love with the JOANN Handmade Holiday Scandimas line when I visited my local store. I love the natural woods and neutral toned ornaments. Isn’t that wooden bead garland so pretty? Seriously, check out how many cute things they have HERE.

When I saw the Scandimas line, I wanted to create a more neutral centerpiece that incorporated some of those fun pieces. But I also love all the sparkly floral picks so I made sure to add those too!

Tips for creating a fun centerpiece:

  • Choose the right container. Make sure you aren’t going too big or too small. If this is going on a mantle or shelf, it can be taller. If it’s going on the center of a table you don’t want it so tall that guests can’t see over it.
  • Mix different textures. I love that JOANN’s has some many floral pick options. I love to mix branches, berries and leaves with my floral arrangement. This helps it come to life!
  • Don’t be afraid to clip your flowers to the right size. You can also bend the stems if you plan on using them again, but don’t be afraid to make the stems shorter to fit your arrangement.
  • Use larger objects to fill space. I used ornaments in the this arrangement to fill up space so I didn’t need as many flowers. This helps save on buying lots of floral picks. Of course if you want more flowers, just leave out the larger objects.
  • Add some whimsy to your arrangement. I always like put a few fun pieces in my arrangements to make them pop. JOANN always has fun pieces to add if you just look around the store!
