DIY Ideas for a Small Indoor Wedding
With life getting back to some sort of norm...ish, weddings are again on the horizon. So, when I was asked by a craft brand to create some easy, DIY ideas for a small indoor wedding, I jumped at the chance!
The brand carries the most gorgeous packaging and wedding favor stationery, accessories and supplies; which I used to create some wedding table ideas that any bride can replicate for a small or micro-wedding 🥰
DIY Ideas for a Small Indoor Wedding
Inspired by all the gold, rose and romantic stationery, I styled a modern but romantic tablescape with a boho flair.
I was aiming for ideas that would look great for any venue, whether you're hosting your wedding at home or a small venue like a restaurant, pub, etc.
To accent the table décor and the boho style, I hung branches over the table and suspended tea lights on the branches. It looked so pretty and helped to add to the romantic look also.
Plus, this is a super easy and cost-effective way to add the wow factor and to illuminate any table space without much effort at all!
The colors of the wedding favor tags and labels dictated the colors I used in my tableware, so I chose a coral pink tablecloth with rattan chargers and white linen napkins.
The plates were white and coral pink, all accentuated with gold flatware and simple wine and water glasses.
All the wedding stationery had some sort of gold embellishment or print on it, which was reflected also on the table setting.
The table numbers were wooden numbers painted with gold acrylic paint. I loved their geometric shape, which gave a perfect modern touch to the boho vine I was aiming for!
For the table centerpiece, I created a cascading arrangement using my favorite budget-friendly trick of mixing real and faux flowers.
I used peonies, hydrangeas, roses and ranunculus along with eucalyptus and various other green branches.
To finish off the table styling, I added coral pink candles inside gold candle-holders, and cute Kraft paper place-cards.
DIY Wedding Favor Ideas
For the wedding favors itself, I created two options: Pink Himalayan salt tubes and Kraft paper bags filled with cookies.
Both options are very budget friendly and super easy to make!
For the text tube idea, I simply filled the tubes with the pink salt, and added a ribbon and sticker to the front of the tube that read "Love".
On the bottom of the tube, I printed the couple's names onto Kraft paper and then stamped a row of gold hearts. To make the heart embossed, I used a heat gun and gold embossing powder.
These test tubes can be filled with anything you like to match your wedding theme or budget. You can use candy, coffee beans, craft beads, hot chocolate mix, etc.
For the Kraft bag wedding favors idea, I used the same stamping technique and gold embossing powder, with a wreath motif and the word "love" stamp.
The favor tag was printed onto vellum paper and attached to the front of the bag with a gold brads, accentuated with a little greenery.
To finish off the boho look of these wedding favors, I added a cream lace ribbon trim to either side of the bag using glue dots.
Of course, you don't have to fill these bags with cookies like I did. You can fill them with anything your like like candy, chocolate, popcorn, hot chocolate preparations, s'mores kits, etc.
These ideas can of course be replicated for at-home weddings or even larger weddings. Speaking of which, stay tuned for some outdoor backyard wedding ideas coming next week !
